We offer a minor in Italian with coursework in language instruction as well as Italian art, history, literature and culture. Our faculty includes native speakers as well as dedicated Italophiles.

The School of World Studies prioritizes experiential learning by offering students opportunities such as study abroad and internships.

Why Study Italian?

Spoken in Italy and Switzerland, the Italian language is famous for its role in art, cuisine and cinema celebrated throughout the world. Italian provides a strong foundation for students pursuing careers or advanced degrees in the arts/art history, cultural heritage, design and fashion.

Furthermore, Italy is the eighth largest economy in the world. A major U.S. business partner, several major U.S. firms such as BCG and Johnson & Johnson have offices in Italy.
