Anthropology

Dr. Kamilia Rahmouni is a linguistic anthropologist whose research examines the relationship between language, culture, and power, with a primary focus on Arabic-speaking societies. She analyzes how linguistic practices shape identity and authority and how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, redefine communication, knowledge, and cultural expression. Her recent work draws on discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, and digital anthropology to investigate AI-mediated learning, the cultural and communicative functions of technology, and representations of linguistic and cultural diversity in digital contexts. She also contributes to research on Arabic language pedagogy and curriculum design.
