The Spring 2025 Powell-Edwards Lecture Series explores the interconnections among spiritual practice, scholarly inquiry and artmaking.

The first event features retired faculty member Cliff Edwards, Ph.D., and promises to be a wonderful celebration of Dr. Edward's legacy both at VCU and in the intersection of art and religion.

There will be a 5 p.m. reception, followed by the program at 5:30.

Clifford Edwards Cliff Edwards, Ph.D., emeritus professor of religious studies, is the author of several books on Vincent van Gogh, including “Van Gogh and God” and “Van Gogh's Second Gift: A Spiritual Path to Deeper Creativity."
