Bio
Jonathan Waybright earned his Master of Theological Studies from Boston University’s School of Theology. He also has degrees in History and Religious Studies from VCU. Waybright has been an instructor at VCU in the Religious Studies program since 1997, with a focus on world religions, biblical studies and especially biblical archaeology. He has been the internship coordinator since 2013 and recently became the experiential learning coordinator for the School of World Studies. As a core faculty member in the Open Minds Program, Waybright holds classes with VCU students and residents of the Richmond City Justice Center. Additionally he leads a summer study abroad program to Israel, where students engage in archaeological research with a multi-university team of researchers.
