About

The School of World Studies is a major research and instructional center for international education at VCU and the greater Richmond community. Our interconnected disciplines explore the human experience as creatively expressed in diverse world languages, cultures, religions, film, literature and forms of social practice, organization and development. We aim to create engaged global citizens through coursework and experiential learning opportunities that help you make it real.

With more than half being foreign-born and all having international experience, they bring genuinely diverse perspectives and innovative approaches to scholarship and teaching. They bring the world to the classroom and provide students with the knowledge, skills, experience to do well professionally and personally.
