Grade Review and Appeal

A dirt road splits through an agricultural landscape. To the left of the road, the landscape is green but to the right the landscape is dry with bales of hay.

Common reasons students dispute a grade given by the School of World Studies:

  • Attendance: though the attendance requirements may vary widely from one course to another, students must abide by the requirements specified on the course syllabus

  • Clerical error

  • Late submission of work

  • Miscalculation: error in grade computation

  • An Americans with Disabilities Act reasonable accommodation letter was issued on behalf of the student but the accommodation was not made

  • Technical difficulties

Please see the official VCU grade review procedures for more information.
